Somatic Yoga is a gentle exploration of yoga postures using the principles of Hanna Somatic Movement. Relaxing the major muscle groups such as the neck, shoulders, abdomen, hips, and back, helps to restore joint flexibility. Our attention will be on internal sensations and mindful experiencing. By moving slowly with the least possible effort, we will gain the most benefit. Our goal is to lay the foundation for a pain free life. The class will end with integration through progressive relaxation.  Yoga mats are available to borrow, or you may bring your own.  A light blanket is also recommended for the final relaxation.
