Mindfulness 101

Mindfulness is practicing moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and our surrounding environment with curiosity, kindness, and self-compassion. This experiential workshop will introduce the foundational skills of mindfulness through conceptual overview, guided sitting meditation, and group reflection & discussion. No prior meditation experience is necessary. The workshop can run from 60 to 90 minutes.

Counting Sheep for Better Sleep

A good night’s sleep is key to many aspects of our wellbeing, yet it’s often one of the first things we cut out when times get stressful. In this workshop we’ll discuss barriers we face to getting a full night of sleep, what makes our sleep restful, and share tips to all wake up feeling refreshed. This workshop is approximately 60 minutes.

Not Your Gym Teacher’s Sex Ed

Whether you took a sex education class in secondary school or not, CWHP staff will provide real-world, accurate, and inclusive information on all things sexual health, including STI prevention and testing, contraceptive use, communication with partners, sex toys, and more. Participants will engage in group conversations and demonstrations and have the opportunity to ask anonymous questions.

Build Your Own Sleep Kit

Join CWHP staff for a fun and casual build-your-own sleep kit event! We will bring all the great goodies for an awesome sleep kit: eye masks, earplugs, relaxing tea, and more. Staff will be available to answer questions and talk with students about their sleep.

Explore Your Wellbeing During Stressful Times

In this workshop, we will explore your wellbeing through mindfulness practices, skill-building, and thoughtful discussion. We will dive into the various aspects of health and wellbeing, ideas and strategies that can be incorporated into our daily lives, and how to approach challenges that we may face in the process.

Safer Sex Supply Pop-Up

Want to offer your House or Dorm a wide range of safer sex supplies? CWHP staff bring their expertise in sexual health to answer all questions related to safer sex, STI testing, contraceptive use, lube, and more. We will bring a variety of safer sex supplies for all types of bodies and types of sex, including external condoms, internal condoms, oral dams, and water-based lube.

Wellness Initiative for Safer Partying (WISP) Workshop

No matter if you’re a party host or a party attendee, we all have a role to play in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. In this interactive workshop with CWHP staff, we will discuss campus norms around drinking, share useful tips that can reduce the likelihood of negative consequences, practice pouring standard drinks, and identify when and how to help if you’re concerned about someone’s level of intoxication.
