Mindfulness & Meditation

Mindfulness can be defined as paying attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity, and acceptance - it is about developing the ability to be fully attentive to all of the moments of your life, reducing the amount of time you spend worrying about the future or fretting about the past.

Mindfulness is best strengthened by a regular meditation practice.  This practice invites us to slow down, breathe and observe our inner experience. Practicing mindfulness can give you the tools you need to stay in the present, remain focused and reduce distracting stressors and negative thoughts.

We invite you to sample a variety of our mindfulness and meditation offerings that can support you in exploring and developing a regular practice. Programs for Harvard students are listed on the Mindfulness for Students page.
